(We obtain our variety from the Peruvian Amazon.) With leaves up to 50 cm. long, it can reach a height of 30 cm. in height, making it a common houseplant and garden fern. Ethnobotanically, this herb is used to treat a broad range of ailments, including rheumatism, non-specific mental disorders, respiratory ailments, hair loss, contraception, and to regulate menstruation.
